Hernan Garza

Associate Professional Clinical Counselor #16236

I look forward to creating a safe space for clients looking to empower themselves by gaining insight into their own lives. If you don’t know where you’re going, let’s explore together.

How Can I Help?

I’m here to accompany you on a journey of understanding and healing, on making connections that help make sense of life’s struggles. In my work, I celebrate beauty and diversity as a source of strength and resilience, and embracing life as it is/has been, to foster a deeper connection, first to ourselves, and then to others.

What is My Approach?

I practice humanistic and psychodynamic approaches, rooted in empathy and understanding, creating a safe space for you to explore thoughts and emotions. It is important to look at where we are with a recognition of where we’re coming from. Making these connections can help overcome challenges and achieve goals.

More About Me:

I’m a LatinX/Gay man and an immigrant that is fully bilingual—English and Spanish. I have lived in different cities and countries throughout my life. I'm intrigued by diversity and the richness it brings to the human experience. Every story needs to be honored and respected, just like every individual life, starting with our own.

Fun Fact: My rescue schnauzer/chihuahua mix named Cuco, wakes me up every morning in need of adventure, and by that, I mean taking a walk outside. He goes through every day being present and awake.
