About Therapy at BTG

  • At Botaitis Therapy Group, therapy is not one size fits all. We practice boutique therapy, which means we focus on quality, flexibility, and genuine connection rather than high-volume, insurance-based care.

Our therapists work with a smaller number of clients to give each person the time and attention they deserve. This approach allows for deeper insight, stronger relationships, and space for meaningful growth.

We also understand that life is busy and healing should fit within it. BTG offers flexible scheduling options, including early morning, daytime, evening, and weekend sessions, so you can receive support before work, after work, or whenever it works best for you.

Because we are a self-pay practice, your sessions remain private and fully personalized. We take the time to understand your goals, your story, and your pace, offering support that is collaborative and built around you.

  • Yes. Research shows that online therapy is just as effective as in person therapy for most mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and stress.

At Botaitis Therapy Group, our secure, HIPAA-compliant platform allows clients anywhere in California to meet virtually with their therapist while maintaining the same level of care and connection.

Online therapy offers flexibility, privacy, and consistency, making it easier to stay engaged in the therapeutic process even with a busy schedule.

  • An Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) is a mental health professional who has completed a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and is working toward full licensure under the supervision of a licensed clinician.

Associates bring fresh perspective, advanced training, and compassionate care while being guided by experienced supervisors to ensure quality and growth.

  • Consistency builds momentum. We generally recommend weekly sessions at minimum for the first four to six weeks, followed by less frequent sessions if clinically appropriate.

Your therapist will collaborate with you to determine the schedule that best supports your goals and overall progress.

  • Yes. We offer complete flexibility for clients to switch from in person to online sessions at any time.

Many clients choose a hybrid model, alternating between office visits and virtual sessions based on their needs or schedule. No matter the format, your therapist provides the same level of attention and support.

  • Most sessions at Botaitis Therapy Group are anywhere from 50 to 55 minutes long depending on the clinician. Some clients prefer longer sessions and due to our boutique style, we are able to discuss and often accommodate these requests.

  • No. BTG therapists do not prescribe medication.

However, we frequently collaborate with psychiatrists, primary care physicians, and other medical providers to support clients who may benefit from combining therapy with medication management.

Check If Your Insurance Reimburses Therapy Sessions

If your insurance plan includes out-of-network benefits, you may be able to get reimbursed for a portion of your therapy costs at Botaitis Therapy Group. While we’re not in-network with insurance companies, we can provide a superbill upon request, which you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. Keep in mind that reimbursement isn’t guaranteed—it depends on your plan’s coverage.

Using out-of-network benefits gives you the freedom to choose a therapist who’s the right fit for you, rather than being limited to in-network providers.

If you’re unsure about your coverage, we have provided a tool to simplify this process and get your answers quickly.
